Dynamics of rangeland and forest social-ecological systems; translational ecology
Dr. Brunson's research and teaching focuses on social-ecological systems. He studies the causes and consequences of human behaviors in natural environments, and how those behaviors are influenced by anthropogenic ecological impacts. His current work focuses on management of ecological processes across jurisdictional boundaries, rangeland restoration, climate change and drought adaptation, and effects of land management on ecosystem services.
